The 1st ELGPN Plenary Meeting
First Meeting of the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network took place on 3-4 December 2007 in Amsterdam. The meeting was organised jointly by ELGPN, the Leonardo da Vinci Netherlands and the European Commission.
The main task of the meeting was to examine the political starting point for the ELGPN and establish an infrastructure for communication procedures among the network participants. This included the definition of the national reference points which will form the consultative mechanism between the whole network and national structures. Secondly, working time was allocated to agree on responsibilities and more concrete action plans for the work packages. The third component of the meeting was to create an interface between the ELGPN first activities and the themes of the French EU-presidency lifelong guidance policy conference in Lyon September 18-19, 2008.
