Education and Social Change
Research in this area explores education as a social phenomenon. Our research projects focus on higher education, vocational education and training, and adult education. Analyses are made on the effects of globalisation and multiculturalism on national and European education with respect to educational structures, administration and culture. The demand, role and relevant organisation of educational services are studied in light of employment and Europe's ageing population. Research into the relationships between education and the world of work is oriented broadly to the interaction between the education system and work both in terms of individual learning and at the level of educational institutions and working life organisations. In addition, our group aims at enhancing the undesrtanding the effectiveness and economic dynamics of education.
