The development of foreign-language teachers’ expertise during their pre- and in-service training in Japan and in Finland

This project is funded partly by the Japanese Ministry of Education and Culture (MEXT). The purpose is to compare the development of foreign-language teachers’ professional identity in their pre- and in-service training. In this study, we seek to identify the key points that either promote or hinder the development of new practices.
