CHERIF yearbook - call for papers

Update 15th December 2015: Call for papers - Special Issue in Tiedepolitiikka

Higher Education Research in Finland – What´s going on?

The Consortium of Higher Education Researchers in Finland (CHERIF) is looking for submissions for its fourth higher education research yearbook.

What is going on in Higher Education Research in Finland? What is being researched right now? What might the tertiary education look like in 10 years? What are, and could be, the emerging research questions and methodologies of today and tomorrow?

For this volume, we will be exploring the current and the future of the Finnish higher education and research on it. To be able to target the future of the field, we are asking the doctoral students doing their research on higher education in Finland to present their empirical findings, theoretical concerns and carefully argumented ideas for the wider audience, in a form of an academic article.

The proposed articles can be theoretical or empirical.  It is a good idea to select one clear perspective for the article, as well as pick a few central questions which the article aims to address. The language of the publication will be English.

The recommended length of the article is 15-20 pages (max. 5000 words), and the manuscripts should be delivered to the editors of the yearbook by 15 October 2015. More detailed instructions can be found at https://ktl.jyu.fi/ktl/cherif/yearbook

The language of the publication is English. The authors are responsible for arranging the necessary language check for their own article before they submit it to the editors. They are also asked to provide the editors with an account on how the language check has been arranged.

The editors will conduct the first review stage. All the articles that will pass this stage,  will be send for peer-review.  The reviewers’ comments and revision instructions will be provided in January 2016. The tentative publication date of the yearbook is in June 2016.
