Thursday 11th

13.00 - 15.30 Seminar: Challenges in Academic careers (open for everyone!).
Including one coffee break.
- Assistant Professor Teresa Carvalho: Challenges and Changes in Academic Profession in Europe.
- Project Researcher Taru Siekkinen: The main results from the Finnish Work Environment -funded project "Academic Careers in Finnish Universities".
- Senior Researcher Oili-Helena Ylijoki: What it means to be an academic? Academic identities in flux.
15.30 - 17.00 PhD students' presentations
18.00 - 20.00 Evening seminar in Puutarhurintalo.
- Senior Researcher Susanna Paloniemi: Methods and methodologies in higher education research
The participants are invited to the seminar to collaboratively work and develop new insights into the research methodologies. Having the experiences of the participants as a starting point for sustainable research methodology is called for. The viewpoints of methodological choices during a research process will be brought into the shared discussion. The seminar has informal character and will be followed by get-together event. Light meal and drinks will be served to all participants of the seminar.
